For close to 40 years my church affiliation has been Church of God. This particular group honors a Saturday Sabbath. We keep what are often called Jewish High or Holy Days. To call these days and the Sabbath Jewish is not a correct assessment.

A brief but important digression will be helpful. The instructions concerning the Sabbath, Holy Days, commandments, statutes, judgments and precepts were given directly from God to Moses, to Israel and ultimately intended for all mankind. At the giving of these things, Judah was only one of the 12 tribes.

However, as time progressed and for varied reasons and purposes, the Jews elected, to the best of their ability, to keep the Sabbath and Holy Days, which have not been cancelled or done away with. Certain Christian groups through the ages have understood and recognized that these days reveal the timeline for God’s plan of redemption and salvation for all mankind.

Biblical prophecy, especially as it pertains to the end time, is understood by many to be the last few years of God’s 6000 year plan for mankind. These years are now upon us.

I feel a responsibility to share with others what I have learned and believe to be the truth. I continuously petitioned for correction and insight in order to be able to make these writings as accurate as possible.

Biblical Study Is A Subjective Topic

One of the principal problems with end time prophecy is putting all the facts of scripture together so that a reasonable timeline of major activities and events can be easily grasped and understood as they unfold into reality.

This earth and everyone on it will soon be caught up in never seen, known or dreamed of wars, diseases, famine and suffering, things that go beyond the imagination of man.

All this immediately precedes the return of Christ and His saints. He (Christ) will put an end to mankind’s destructive wars and rebellion before all life is wiped off the face of the earth.

Jesus Christ, as ruling king and God’s high priest, will begin the restoration and healing of the lands and waters. He will comfort and heal the nations. Soon true peace, prosperity and happiness will fill the earth, for all peoples will humble themselves before their righteous Creator and His Holy One, Christ the Messiah.

I have not had any visions, dreams or discussions with anyone; neither do I have any new kind of doctrine or truth, teaching or prophecy or any personal revelation. My focus is on the truth of the word of God, the life and heart and teachings of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the apostles and prophets.

Everything I present in my writings I try to do with a foundation laid on the inspired word of God. I feel a strong sense of obligation to share my experiences and observations and to lend understanding and clarification to other sojourners as God provides opportunity.

There are several important reasons for prophecy. There is a fundamental overriding point. If we do not understand and believe the inspired words of Jesus, the apostles and prophets, then we have no assurance of what the future will bring and the part we may play in it. When the lies and deceptions come, most will fall; even some of the very elect will be deceived because they did not believe.

It is written that the lies and deceptions will appear first. In this connection and along with these lies will come the fullness of many end time prophecies. Our calling and commission requires us as true Christian believers to demonstrate trust and faith in God and His word before these things take place. When evil is running rampant, God’s people will have to hold their course. It is these men and women who know what Jesus said and believe it will happen as so stated.

This will require one to have a relationship with God and Jesus that goes beyond the acquaintance many of us have now. Those who are prepared for the prophesied events outlined by the Messiah, and detailed by the apostles and prophets, will know what to do. This is the challenge Jesus gives to each of us; believe, obey, survive and reap the promises!

This study will bring forth much interesting and important information. Some things you may already know. However,to one degree or another, much will be new. Two suggestions you may find helpful: 1) consider the Bereans and 2) Ask yourself if there is harmony in the development and explanation of the scriptures. I will do my best to make sure the writing is done in an orderly and understandable manner.

These things are for mature and determined men and women who are willing to read/listen and strive to acquire knowledge that leads to understanding and truth. It is for those individuals who will take the time to study and prove these matters one way or another. This information is for those who love truth, especially the truth of God, and who desire to grow in the knowledge of all His truth.

The Author’s Position

I believe the Bible to be true and accurate. The words as recorded in scripture by inspiration of the one supreme God, were given to mankind in order that he would have the means, if so desired, to know the one true God and His Son, Jesus the Christ.

I believe the instructions of the law as originally given by God to Moses; further clarified and expounded by the holy prophets, amplified and reinforced by the words and example of Jesus Christ, to the fullest intent, is the foundation of a Godly life. Christ appointed the apostles to promote and preserve His teachings so that His comments would be available to all men and women for all time.

I further believe the holy scriptures as originally written correctly and accurately, reveal the nature, character and purpose of God. The authorized King James Version of 1611 along with numerous modern translations is sufficient, as written, for salvation and understanding end-time prophecy. However, certain errors and mis-translations have crept into the holy scriptures over these many hundreds and thousands of years. Most difficulties can be cleared up by the use of several good commentaries. A critical examination and evaluation when studying the Bible will be helpful.

Man’s opinion and ideas have nothing to do with the truth that God makes available to us. Our choice is to accept or deny. This is not to say that mankind has no understanding, but it is to say much understanding, appreciation, respect and love for His revealed word has been reasoned away.
